Chef Nicole Brisson will gather friends and fellow chefs at Resorts World’s Italian restaurant, Brezza on November 5 to honor Anne Saxelby, the beloved New York cheesemonger who helped inspire Goatober.
Launched in 2011 by Heritage Foods USA, Goatober invites chefs across the country to cook with goat and support the small farms that raise them. The Brezza celebration will feature food stations set throughout the restaurant, giving guests the chance to wander, mingle, and meet the chefs as they taste their way through the menu. The Goatober spread celebrates goat from the cheese board to the main course:
- Goat Ragu Cavatelli with orange zest, celery heart and pecorino
- Goat & Farro Stew with Castelvetrano olives and mint
- Whole Goat Birria with handmade tortillas, salsa roja, lime and red onions
- Goat Pâté with frisée, figs and pickled onion
- Goat Cheese with oven-dried tomatoes and basil pesto
- Pantaleo Panini with grilled zucchini, eggplant and tomato
- Herbed Goat Cheese Spread with crudités
- Grilled Chicories with smoked goat cheese and Aceto Manodori
Thursday, November 5, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $195 per person, including tax and fees, with wine, beer, and spirits covered throughout the evening. Reservations are available through Brezza.com.
