LVBC earned its following by doing the basics right, and the “hoppy hour” reflects that. Draft beers are $5, well cocktails are $6, and the food menu starts at $7. If you’re not sure what to order on the beer side, the four-beer flight is on the happy hour menu and the easiest way to figure out your new favorite.

The kitchen takes the pub fare more seriously than it has to. The pretzel with cheese beer dip is highly recommended, but honestly, the seasonal pumpkin brew with wings or the chopped cheese sliders keep me coming back.

Two locations include the original brewery in the northwest and a new taproom in the Arts District, both with a sports-friendly, dog-friendly, come-as-you-are vibe.

Opened in 2005, Hank’s is the kind of Henderson institution that locals keep quietly in their happy hour rotation. Dark wood, piano bar, a bar area that fills up fast, and martinis so generous that one reviewer described them as capable of doubling as bird baths. Al Mancini of Neon Feast says, “Hank’s is serving a generous portion of elegance along with the prime steaks.” That’s not an overstatement.

Happy hour runs three and a half hours every day, and the martini menu is the reason to go. Half-price martinis land at $8 to $10 each. The cucumber martini alone has earned its own fan base. On the food side, Chef’s Wagyu Sliders at $14, Crispy Tuna Tacos with bigeye tuna, avocado, wakame and chili at $14 and Lobster Rolls on brioche at $18 round out a bar bites menu that punches well above its price point.

Pair any of that with a half-price Hank’s Dirty Martini for a proper evening in Henderson. Happy hour is served daily from 3:30 p.m.-7 p.m. Get there early because the bar fills up fast.

Jade Asian Kitchen & Noodle Happy Hour

Jade isn’t your average Asian eatery in a Las Vegas casino. It’s a multi-Asian dining concept under one roof. Japanese sushi and specialty rolls, Chinese dim sum and noodle dishes, Vietnamese pho, and a cocktail program that has developed its own loyal following among Summerlin locals.

The happy hour menu runs $5 to $10 across the board. Masago Mango Rolls and Tuna Poke are at the lower end. Tempura Shrimp and Chicken Lettuce Cups round out the top. Jade Happy Hour has built its reputation on the cocktail program. The $9 Lychee Martini has become a legitimate Summerlin fixture and is the kind of drink that earns a second round without much debate. The Asian Pear Martini runs alongside it. House wine at $7.

Octopus seaweed salad and Crab Wontons with a $9 specialty cocktail. Outdoor patio, waterfall view, October weather. Available Wednesday through Sunday, including weekends, at a Summerlin resort. This is a good thing.
