Yacht Arrives At Bellagio

Shortly after sunrise, a 33-foot boat was driven into Bellagio’s driveway this morning, where it was hoisted by crane into the resort’s fountain-filled lake.

The limited-edition Riva Anniversario is one of only 18 in the world. Before it took to the water, a pair of casino executives unveiled its name: Fortuna. It will make its official debut next month, in conjunction with the opening of the lakeside Carbone Riviera restaurant in the space that was formerly home to Picasso.

The mahogany and aquamarine ship can accommodate up to four invited V.I.P. guests for what Bellagio’s S.V.P. of Hospitality calls “a once in a lifetime experience.”

Franz Kallao explained, “We’re going to offer this exclusive experience where you can drive around the lake during the fountain show and see a perspective that’s never been seen before. To see this show on the lake is something that we’ve never done before, so a super-exclusive, exciting experience.”

Kallao also told us what to expect from the lakeside Carbone Riviera explaining, “This is gonna be an Italian restaurant with a heavy seafood focus [and] a live fish program.”

Passengers on the “Fortuna” will enjoy light bites and beverages of their own during the 30-minute excursion – adding another delicious layer to the once in a lifetime cruise.
