This Week’s Recommended Happy Hours: Plant-Based on the Strip, Sushi Royalty Off-Strip, and Pastrami Salmon at a Southwest Steakhouse.
Three happy hours this week, all earning their spot on the list. The only vegan happy hour on the Las Vegas Strip, where every single item is $10, and the Impossible Cigars will make you question everything you thought you knew about plant-based food. Two-dollar sushi from a chef that other chefs eat at on their nights off. And a Southwest steakhouse patio serving pastrami, salmon and $4 beers that nobody else in this city is doing.
Different neighborhoods, different menus, one standard. All verified, all worth it.
🌿 Crossroads Kitchen | Resorts World Las Vegas
Happy Hour Daily — 5 PM to 6 PM (Bar and Lounge Only)

Here is what you need to know about Crossroads Kitchen before anything else: there are no obvious vegan cues and most guests don’t even make the connection that the menu is plant-based — they just know the restaurant is comfortable and the food is satisfying and delicious. That’s the whole philosophy. And the happy hour is where that philosophy costs you the least.
Founded by Chef Tal Ronnen and led by Executive Chef Scott Okazaki, Crossroads Kitchen is the first vegan fine-dining restaurant on the Strip. The happy hour menu puts the full weight of that kitchen behind a $10 price point across every single item. Caviar and Chips, Impossible Cigars with spicy almond milk yogurt, Stuffed Zucchini Blossoms, Calamari Fritti with Diablo sauce and lemon, and Caesar Salad, each for $10. The same $10 price applies to all drinks.
One hour. Four food items. One cocktail. The window is tight, so don’t let it be the reason you miss it. You do not have to be vegan to eat here. You just have to show up before 6 PM.

🍣 Other Mama | Southwest Las Vegas
Happy Hour Daily 5 PM to 6 PM | Late Night Fri and Sat 10 PM to Midnight
Chef Dan Krohmer opened Other Mama on South Durango Drive in 2015 and has spent a decade building one of the most respected seafood and sushi kitchens in the valley. He went to Japan, fell in love with traditional technique, came back to Las Vegas, and opened a restaurant behind an auto shop in Southwest that locals, other chefs, and the occasional well-informed visitor have been quietly showing up to ever since. A recent expansion added 1,000 square feet, a larger sushi bar with another chef, more sushi selections, and a new lounge — essentially a new side of Other Mama without changing what made the original work.
The happy hour is the most accessible version of all of it. Two-dollar sushi. Five-dollar hand rolls. All dining areas included, not just the bar. Cocktails like the Aviation clock in at just over half the price of comparable Strip drinks, while appetizers including Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice and what regulars call the best Octopus Balls in the city round out the menu.
If you miss the early window, the Friday and Saturday late-night happy hour from 10 PM to midnight gives you a second chance. This is the kind of place that makes you feel like a local the first time you go.

🥩 Butcher and Thief | The Bend, Southwest LV |
Happy Hour Daily 3 PM to 5:30 PM
Butcher and Thief is a neighborhood steakhouse redefining everyday luxury in Southwest Las Vegas, created by Chef Cory Harwell and the team behind Carson Kitchen. Named for the wine thief, the tool used to sample wine as it ages, the concept is built around the idea of savoring things properly, which is exactly what the happy hour delivers.
Reviewers consistently describe it as approachable fine dining without Strip prices, with shishito peppers executed flawlessly, steak and frites cooked beautifully, and a wine list curated with intention. The outdoor patio wraps around the restaurant and is the kind of space that makes happy hour feel like a proper occasion. The pastrami salmon is the dish nobody else in Southwest Las Vegas is doing. The $4 beers are the reason you arrive at 3 PM.
The 5,000-square-foot space includes a bar, lounge, main dining room, private dining areas, and a large patio — all of it accessible during happy hour. Early window means you can be done before dinner and still feel like you won the day.
